Summary

If you have foam sclerotherapy at The Whiteley Clinic you will follow the following sequence:

• Injection of foam sclerotherapy under direct vision or under ultrasound control
• Wear bandages and graduated support stocking for 24 hours
• Wear graduated pressure stockings, day and night, for 2 weeks
• Come to The Whiteley Clinic for release of trapped blood at 3 - 5 weeks (see above)
• Start to see improvement in clinical and cosmetic appearance at 3 months improving right up to 1 year or longer
• At this stage follow up microsclerotherapy of any residual thread veins may be required
